know before you go
To get the best results from your appointment, we ask that you review a few simple prep steps before arriving. Each service has its own guidelines, so take a moment to read them over carefully before your visit. Coming prepared ensures your visit runs smoothly and your results last longer.

Before Your Appointment
What to Wear:
Opt for dark, loose-fitting clothing—avoid leggings!
You can tan completely nude (ideal for beach vacations), in a bikini, or just in undies (the most popular choice).
Our tanning solution is water-soluble and won’t stain, but wearing dark colors is still recommended.
Body Prep:
Hair Removal: Wax at least 24 hours before or shave 12 hours prior to avoid darkened pores.
Exfoliation: The night before, thoroughly exfoliate your entire body. A loofah with body wash isn’t enough—use a body scrub and an exfoliating mitt (available for purchase in-studio).
No Lotions or Creams: Avoid applying any moisturizers, oils, or creams for at least 8 hours before your appointment.
Tan-Free Skin: Ensure your skin is completely free of any leftover tan from a previous session.
Do not shower or exfoliate immediately before your appointment.
After Your Spray Tan
First Rinse:
Avoid moisture & water until your recommended rinse time:
Light: 2 hours (most popular among brides)
Medium: 4 hours
Dark: 6 hours (Do not leave it on longer)
Lukewarm water only—no soap! Rinse evenly until the water runs clear.
Pat dry gently, and moisturize day and night.
The next day, you can shower with soap as usual.
Maintaining Your Glow:
Hydrate Your Skin: Moisturize morning and night to prolong your tan and prevent patchiness.
Choose the Right Products: Use gel-textured, fragrance-free soaps and lotions. Avoid Dove—instead, opt for unscented Aveno or Johnson’s Baby.
Exfoliate Wisely: Avoid exfoliating until your tan starts to fade. Once it does, use a loofah to gently blend textured areas (like the neck and chest), while avoiding premature scrubbing on the rest of your body.
Vacation Tip: Bring a loofah to help maintain an even fade. Minimize time in water, excessive sweating, and sun exposure to keep your tan lasting longer.
Moisturizer is your best friend—oil is the enemy! Avoid body oils, as they can break down your tan faster.

All haircuts and blowdries include a wash at the sink for a fresh start.
For event styling, please arrive with clean, dry hair that has been blowdried the day before your appointment. This provides the best base for a long-lasting style. If you arrive with wet hair and our schedule doesn’t allow extra time for drying, your service may need to be adjusted to a blowdry only, or we may not be able to accommodate the appointment.
-
Please come to your appointment without any makeup and do your morning skincare as per usual, without sunscreen.
It is best to do a light exfoliation 24-48 hours in advance, and a hydrating mask the night before your appointment.
-
Avoid wearing makeup to your appointment.
If you use a lash or brow serum, refrain from using it 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
-
Wear a sports bra & comfy underwear or sport shorts during the session.
Bring earbuds to listen to a podcast, guided meditation, or music during this 40 minute session.
Drink plenty of water! This will help flush out the toxins released during your session.
Do not sunbathe before your schedule appointment to avoid the sensitivity of burnt skin during your treatment.
Do not apply lotion or topical medication.
-
Make sure to drink plenty of water!
Avoid sunbathing prior to your appointment to avoid the pain from rubbing on a sunburn.
Avoid eating a large meal or drinking caffeine.
Do not take prescription pain medication before your massage.
